Standard Hatch Description

Hatches are manufactured from 2mm Aluminium with a natural industrial grade finish. Hatch lids comprise an aluminium envelope enclosing 60mm of Phenolic insulation The u-value of the Phenolic insulation is 0.35u as a stand alone insulant.

Standard up stands are 150mm high from the roof deck, insulated with 60mm Phenolic insulation and pre-drilled with all required fixing holes. No pre-existing up stand is required. Rubber seals between the lid and up stand prevent the ingress of rain
The outer handle with padlock eye’s are manufactured from
stainless steel. The inner slam latches are manufactured
from stainless steel.

The inner latch can be operated and the hatch opened with the outer handle padlock locked. Internal locking is provided by a stainless steel hasp and staple to accept a padlock. All internal components and ironmongery are manufactured from stainless steel to included all rivets, screws and hinges.

The inner grab handles (one per door) are manufactured in plastic The hatch has a combination of gas struts to balance the opening and to hold the lid in the open position. The gas struts can be specified in stainless steel for corrosive or high salt environments
