After detailed consultations with AC2000, the AC Contractor, Big Foot Systems were able to propose a bespoke support solution. Initially plinths & steel beams had been specified to support the roof plant, however, concerns were raised about the integrity of the roofing membrane. Using traditional fixed roof supports would have meant that any future repairs to roof surface could require the AC plant to be decommissioned. The potential risk of decommissioning services was seen as having an unacceptable impact on the Trust’s operations.
